Therapeutic Coaching
Therapeutic coaching offers a structured and forward-looking way of working when you want to make a change, reach a decision or develop a clearer sense of direction.
I work with adults who want to engage actively with an area of their life while also developing a deeper understanding of what may be influencing their choices, habits or ability to move forward.
Coaching may be helpful during life, career or identity transitions, changes in family roles, relocation and cultural adjustment, or when working with patterns around food, wellbeing and other habits, as well as your relationship with work or money.
How I Work
My approach combines practical coaching with psychological depth. We pay attention not only to what you want to do, but also to the patterns, beliefs, emotions and relationships that may influence how you approach change.
I have several years’ experience supporting people through career and identity transitions, changing family roles, relocation, and patterns around food, wellbeing and other habits. I have also completed additional training in coaching approaches to addictive behaviours and sustainable behaviour change.
Before beginning my psychotherapy training, I worked in corporate finance. This background contributes to my understanding of demanding professional environments, organisational pressures, career transitions and the place that work and money can hold within our wider lives.
I work collaboratively and actively, while keeping the coaching process responsive to you rather than applying a fixed programme or formula.
Coaching or Psychotherapy?
Coaching may be a good fit when you want to work actively towards a particular change, decision or goal and are looking for a process that combines reflection in sessions with practical steps between them.
Where difficulties are longstanding, emotionally complex or closely connected with trauma, grief, significant distress or mental-health concerns, psychotherapy may offer a more appropriate space. We can consider together which approach is likely to suit what you are looking for during an initial conversation.
Sessions
Coaching sessions last 60 minutes and take place online via Google Meet.
Sessions may be arranged weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on the nature of the work and the level of support you are looking for.
Getting Started
If you would like to explore whether coaching may be right for you, you are welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation. This gives us an opportunity to discuss what you would like support with and how we might work together.
